JOB OVERVIEW
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordinating and administering preventive, corrective, and calibration maintenance activities in a highly regulated environment. Working closely with production area planners and maintenance personnel, the role ensures effective scheduling, accurate work order management within the CMMS, regulatory compliance, and proper inventory control.
This position plays a key role in supporting operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
In close collaboration with production area planners, the Maintenance Planner performs planning and administrative activities within the Maintenance Department, including:

Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities across multiple shifts

Plan and coordinate equipment calibration activities

Schedule work for internal technicians and external service providers

Prepare and issue detailed work order documentation

Manage preventive, corrective, and calibration work orders in the regulatory CMMS

Maintain regulatory asset data and ensure accuracy within the CMMS

Prepare maintenance kits for preventive maintenance activities

Support the creation and management of equipment-specific spare parts lists

Monitor inventory levels and generate purchase requisitions for maintenance consumables

Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for maintenance activities
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate:

Demonstrates strict adherence to all safety, health, and quality regulations in place at FTAI Aviation Canada
-
Has completed recognized technical training or possesses equivalent hands-on experience in a relevant trade

Brings 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance planning and work order administration within a highly regulated environment

Has proven experience in maintenance activity planning and coordination

Is proficient in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

Demonstrates strong organizational skills and consistently meets assigned deadlines

Maintains accurate and detailed records of executed tasks in both electronic and manual systems

Is bilingual in French and English (spoken and written)
