Operations Manager — Pete's Painting Napanee / Kingston, ON | Full-Time, Year-Round | $60,000/year
Pete's Painting is a growing residential, commercial, and specialty painting contractor serving the Napanee and Kingston area. We're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take the reins of day-to-day operations, allowing our ownership to focus on growing the business.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to run a business like it's their own — not just supervise a crew.
What You'll Own
- Sales & estimating: assess jobs, prepare quotes, close sales, and keep the pipeline moving
- Crew scheduling: assign and oversee crews across active jobs, keep timelines on track
- Team leadership: hire, onboard, and manage a crew of 4–10 painters
- Quality control: site visits at key milestones, ensuring every job meets our standards
- Customer relations: be the main point of contact for clients during active jobs
- Operations: materials ordering, equipment upkeep, and building out our process documentation
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years managing a trade, construction, or painting operation
- Experience in estimating and quoting jobs accurately
- A track record of leading a small crew and getting results
- Strong communication skills — with clients, crew, and ownership
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between job sites
- Painting trade experience preferred but not required
