Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Greenhouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our greenhouse facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing plant care, maintaining greenhouse systems, and ensuring the health and productivity of our horticultural environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and physical stamina to support a thriving plant production operation.
Duties
- Supervise daily greenhouse activities, including planting, watering, pruning, and harvesting of plants
- Oversee irrigation systems to ensure proper water delivery and system maintenance
- Monitor plant health and diagnose issues related to pests, diseases, or environmental conditions
- Maintain and repair greenhouse equipment using hand tools and mechanical knowledge
- Manage inventory of gardening supplies, fertilizers, and tools
- Train and supervise staff or interns in horticultural practices and safety procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper handling of heavy lifting tasks
- Record data related to plant growth, environmental conditions, and operational activities for reporting purposes
- Coordinate with suppliers for plant materials and other necessary resources
Experience
- 2 years experience in horticulture or greenhouse management is required
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, plant care techniques, and greenhouse environmental controls
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to repair or troubleshoot equipment using hand tools
- Familiarity with gardening practices, heavy lifting, and basic math for inventory management and measurements
- Prior supervisory experience in a horticultural or agricultural setting is a plus
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks and work in a physically demanding environment for extended periods

Pay: $27.33 per hour
