Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Bouncer/Security personnel to maintain a safe and secure environment at our venue. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the premises, managing crowd control, and ensuring the safety of all patrons and staff. This role requires a strong presence, excellent judgment, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. Prior experience in security is highly desirable. Must have or be willing to take a 2 hour online security course as well as provide a criminial record check
Duties
- Monitor entrances and exits to control access and verify identification when necessary
- Conduct thorough security checks to prevent prohibited items from entering the premises
- Maintain a visible presence to deter disruptive or unlawful behavior
- Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents or emergencies, including conflicts or medical issues
- Enforce venue policies and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Assist in crowd management during peak times or special events
- Document incidents accurately and report any suspicious activity to management or law enforcement as needed
Experience
- Prior experience in security, or loss prevention is preferred
- Knowledge of crowd control techniques and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations professionally
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail in monitoring activities
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patrons, staff, and emergency responders
