Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team in Toronto. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business, maintaining existing accounts, and promoting our diverse range of stone products to contractors, architects, designers, and other industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the Greater Toronto Area.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners.
- Conduct regular site visits and product presentations via lunch-and-learns.
- Provide expert advice on stone selection and application.
- Provide estimates, negotiate pricing, and manage contracts to closure.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor products.
Qualifications:
- Proven outside sales experience in the stone industry or a closely related field (such as stone fabrication, distribution, or stone installation). Experience with natural and engineered stone products, stone project estimating, and working with fabricators, installers, or stone suppliers is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Strong computer skills are required; experience with stone industry-specific software is a plus.
Additional valuable skills include:
- Experience with project management or CRM software
- Understanding of construction site protocols and safety practices
- Familiarity with inventory management or order processing systems
- Background in customer service or account management
