Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Directional Driller to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing horizontal directional drilling (HDD) operations in a safe, efficient, and professional manner while working on underground utility installation projects.
Duties
- Operate directional drilling equipment in accordance with project specifications
- Read and interpret locates, drawings, and bore plans
- Ensure all utilities are properly located and exposed prior to drilling
- Maintain safe work practices in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with crew members, foremen, and project managers
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on drilling equipment
- Complete daily reports and documentation as required
Requirements
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience operating directional drilling equipment
- Strong knowledge of underground utility construction and safe digging practices
- Ability to read locates and utility drawings
- Valid driver’s license (AZ license considered an asset)
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
- Ability to work in various weather and site conditions
- Reliable, team-oriented, and safety-focused
Union Requirement
- Must be willing to join and maintain membership with LiUNA Local 183
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33.00-$47.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
