Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Filipino Health Care Aide to provide exceptional support and care to our clients in SW. This role involves assisting seniors and individuals with disabilities in their daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living or nursing home environments and possess a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, especially those with dementia or cognitive impairments
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and maintaining a safe living environment
- Help clients with mobility exercises and transfers to promote independence
- Monitor health status and report any concerns or changes to supervising healthcare professionals
- Support clients with activities tailored to their individual needs, including working with those with disabilities or requiring specialized care
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings is preferred
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus
- Demonstrated caregiving skills, including patience, empathy, and strong communication abilities
- Familiarity with cleaning routines and meal preparation for clients is beneficial
- Previous work supporting home care or senior care clients will be considered an asset
