MATERIAL HANDLER
At Metalogics we don't have multiple job titles for our team positions but all of us will play the role of material handler, maintenance, material grader, commodity specialist, etc. so be prepared to learn and work hard as a member of our team. Most of the jobs that we are hiring for in this category involve laborious work and a positive attitude. Working behind the scenes, our Team Members make a significant impact on the clients we support.
The ideal candidate will:

Work Environment:
Team Members are expected to work year round, in both outdoor and indoor elements.
Fast paced work environment, must be able to adapt to changing customer volume levels with a sense of urgency
Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties of Team Members are physically demanding and regularly require extended lengths of time standing, bending, walking and handling. The candidate must have a keen attention to detail and be able to regularly and repetitively lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and work regularly in the standing position. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Load and unload products and materials by hand or with basic handling equipment from customers
· Operate a variety of equipment to unload and move materials
· Weigh materials and goods
· Organize and maintain inventory
· Operate computerized inventory control systems
· Identify and sort various metals
· Perform general housekeeping as required.
· Working toward understanding and classifying metals with integrity
Additional Skills
· Provide quality customer service to each Metalogics' customer
· Valid forklift certificate is an asset but not required
· First Aid and CPR Certificate is an asset
· WHMIS certificate is an asset
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
