Job Summary
We are seeking a Truck & Transport 3rd year Mechanical apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in Truck & Transport repair and maintenance or light truck automotive repair and maintenance. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles and equipment operate safely and efficiently. A background in dealership service is highly desirable but not required. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where mechanical expertise and customer service skills are valued.
Duties
- -Diagnose and repair a wide range of truck and transport and light truck automotive issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and hand tools
- -Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- -Repair or replace mechanical components including engines, transmissions, and suspensions
- -Operate forklift and other industrial machinery as needed
- -Utilize power tools and hand tools for assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks
- -Follow safety protocols during all repair activities and maintain a clean work environment
Skills
- -Ideal Candidate would hold a provincially recognized 2nd year Mechanics level or higher
- -Proven mechanic experience with a understanding of truck & transport or automotive systems and repairs
- -Experience operating forklift
- -Knowledge of dealership service procedures is a plus
- -Skilled in maintenance procedures
- -Ability to operate power tools and hand tools efficiently
- -Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks safely
- -Strong communication skills
- -Experience with electrical diagnostics and repairs

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
