Position Details
- Type: Full-time, year-round, permanent
- Schedule: Full availability required; no night work.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage crews to ensure pace and quality standards are met
- Support and oversee teams in the field while actively participating in service delivery
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to plan projects, manage sites, assess equipment needs, and ensure quality outcomes
- Maintain clear communication with the Operations Manager and General Manager
- Train, coach, and develop crew members and new hires to improve efficiency and strengthen team performance
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, providing updates and exploring opportunities for expanded services
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements
- Learning and developing into a leadership position
Skills & Abilities
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Ability to track and record progress using company software
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Clear and concise communication—both written and verbal
- Customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (full, not L or N)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in landscaping, lawn maintenance, and garden care
- 2–3 years of experience leading a team
- Comfortable working at heights (up to 14’) and using ladders
- Proficient with a variety of landscaping power tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Horticulture training (Level 2 or 3)
- Experience in tree pruning (ornamental and fruit trees)
- Background working in inclusive environments and with vulnerable populations
- Conflict resolution training
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
