Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Barn Help to assist with daily farm operations. This role involves maintaining the barn, caring for 24 horse, 2 goats, 2 donkies, 3 cats. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a passion for farm life. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in natural horsemanship and contribute to the smooth running of the farm.
Duties
- Assist with feeding, watering, and caring for horses and other farm animals
- Perform cleaning and maintenance of barns, stalls, and surrounding areas to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
- Help with loading, unloading, and moving supplies or feed using heavy lifting techniques.
- Assist in general farm chores including fencing, watering yard.
- Follow safety protocols during all activities to prevent accidents or injuries
Qualifications
- Prior experience or knowledge of horses would be preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of farm operations and animal care preferred
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work independently or as part of a team . Have a willingness to learn good communication skills.
