Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Representative role based in Toronto, ON. The Business Development Representative will identify and qualify new business opportunities through outbound calls, email outreach, and in-person visits to prospective and existing clients. Responsibilities include building and maintaining a pipeline of leads, conducting discovery conversations to understand client scrap metal needs, and proposing appropriate recycling solutions and service options.
The role involves collaborating with operations and logistics teams to coordinate pickups, roll-off bins, and other services, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new customers. The Business Development Representative will also track activities in a CRM system, prepare basic quotes, support contract renewal efforts, and represent TX2 Recycling at local industry events or networking opportunities.
Qualifications
- Strong sales capabilities, including Inside Sales and Sales experience, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Proven Business Development and Lead Generation skills to build and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
- Ability to learn and explain service offerings related to scrap metal recycling, logistics, and customer service requirements.
- Previous experience in B2B or industrial services is an asset; experience in recycling, waste management, or logistics is a plus.
- Comfort using CRM tools and basic office software to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to visit client sites within the region as needed.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with on-site teams.
