Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental practice. The Associate Dentist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a diverse patient caseload, including pediatric and adult patients, utilizing advanced dental technology and software.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations and diagnose oral health issues.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, ensuring clear communication of procedures and options.
- Utilize dental software such as Dentrix to document patient records accurately and efficiently.
- Administer various dental treatments including restorations, extractions, root canals, crowns, and preventive care.
- Provide pediatric dental care with sensitivity to the unique needs of children and adolescents.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive measures, and post-treatment care to promote long-term oral health.
- Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and office staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Maintain compliance with all safety protocols and adhere to medical terminology standards in documentation.
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques through ongoing professional development.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred but not mandatory; we value motivated new graduates eager to learn.
- Proficiency with dental management software such as Dentrix is highly desirable.
Requirement
- Graduate from an accredited DDS/DMD Program or successful completion of the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) Equivalency Process
- Registered and in good standing with provincial licensing requirements
- Valid CPR certification
