Operations Manager – Trucking Division

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy trucking division based in Carrot River, SK. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating logistics, managing drivers, and ensuring efficient and compliant fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily trucking operations, ensuring timely pickup and delivery of loads
- Plan, schedule, and dispatch loads efficiently to maximize productivity
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime
- Manage and support drivers, including scheduling, communication, and performance
- Monitor and ensure compliance with E-Logs (electronic logging devices) and regulatory requirements
- Handle logistics coordination, including route planning and load optimization
- Recruit, onboard, and train new drivers and staff members
- Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and compliance
- Troubleshoot operational issues quickly and effectively
- Promote a safe and positive work environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in trucking, transportation, or logistics management
- Strong knowledge of fleet operations and dispatching
- Familiarity with E-Logs and transportation regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with scheduling and logistics software is an asset
- Valid driver’s license (Class 1/A is an asset but not required)
