Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate veterinary team. In this role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing high-quality care to animals. Responsibilities
- Cleaning and organization of the clinic
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Restrain animals safely during procedures to ensure their comfort and safety
- Collect samples such as urine, or feces for laboratory testing
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, medications, and procedures
- Support client communication by providing information about animal care and post-treatment instructions
- Monitor animals during recovery periods and report any concerns to the veterinary team
Skills
- Prior veterinary clinic experience is highly desirable.
- Keen love of cleaning and organization
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine love for animals and their well-being
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and maintain meticulous records
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a clinical setting

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
