What You’ll Do
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products
- Lead new product launches, trials, and process validations
- Drive continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
- Develop capital investment plans and analyze ROI
- Source and implement advanced manufacturing equipment and tooling
- Improve plant layout and production flow for maximum efficiency
- Reduce scrap and downtime through data-driven engineering solutions
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and lead process safety improvements
- Create and maintain technical documentation and work instructions
- Partner with production and maintenance teams to solve complex challenges
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- 3–5 years of experience in process or manufacturing engineering (automotive preferred)
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems, equipment, and safety standards
Highly Valued Asset:
•** Japanese language ability (reading & writing)** — a major advantage and highly valued for collaboration with global teams
- Experience in Tier 1 automotive or OEM environments
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Experience with automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing processes
Education:
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Trade certification (e.g., Red Seal) is an asset
