Job Description:
Position Overview: The IT Operations Technician will support the IT Manager ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of services, both internally and external to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the IT Manager in overseeing daily IT operations.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of VoIP-based service deliveries.
- Help manage and ensure the reliability and security of telecommunication and IT hardware.
- Assist in developing and maintaining standard internal network configurations.
- Provide guidance and support to staff, including training.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of IT services.
- Assist in monitoring and managing IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Help develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance and security.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex IT issues.
- Assist in driving new commercial business with a focus on Managed IT services.
- Leverage cross-sell opportunities through dynamic partnerships.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or a related role, with a focus on IT Managed Services, Telephony, and VoIP-based service deliveries.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunication/IT hardware and standard internal network configurations. Experience working with VPS, Linux and Hypervisor.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, ITIL, CompTIA) are a plus.
- Experience working with Meraki, Sophos XGS, Aruba, Ubiquiti, M365, Azure, AD, Salesforce, AutoTask, SharePoint.
- General knowledge Microsoft Suite of Apps
- Working with Kaseya RMM, Autotask and Sophos Central are a plus.
Job Type: Part-Time, Contract – (Length of Contract to be determined on Employment Agreement)
Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 4 days per week
Total Work Hours/Week: 32
Hours of Work: 9am – 5pm EST, 8 hours per day
Rate of Pay: $30 an hour
Work Location: On-Site In person
