Position Title: Electrician (Mining project July 1- 8, 2026)
Salary Range: $58/hr plus OT after 8 hours per day
About the Client and Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrician in the Calgary area for a short-term project assignment at one of our client's mining operations. This 7-day project is scheduled to run from July 1–8, 2026.
In this role, you will support electrical demolition activities, including the removal of electrical outlets and fixtures, consolidating and securing electrical cabling, and assisting with other related project tasks as required.This is a camp-based opportunity, with flights, accommodations, meals, and lodging provided for the duration of the assignment. Criminal backgound check, medical and references are required.

This role provides technical support and coaching to assist the department and the company to strive to achieve their goals of "ZERO HARM"
Main Accountabilities:
- Stripping the electrical out of two temporary buildings
- Basic wiring completed on a washcar trailer
- Perform electrical demolition activities in accordance with project plans, site procedures, and applicable safety regulations
- Safely isolate, disconnect, and remove electrical devices, including outlets, switches, receptacles, light fixtures, junction boxes, and related components
- Identify, label, and disconnect existing electrical circuits and wiring systems prior to removal
- Remove, organize, bundle, and secure electrical cabling to facilitate disposal, salvage, or future reinstallation as directed
- Assist with the dismantling and removal of cable trays, conduit, supports, and other electrical infrastructure as required
- Sort and separate materials designated for reuse, recycling, or disposal in accordance with site environmental and waste management procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by performing housekeeping duties throughout the project
- Inspect tools and equipment before use and report any deficiencies or safety concerns to supervision
- Work collaboratively with other trades, supervisors, and site personnel to ensure project milestones and schedules are achieved
- Follow all mine site health, safety, and environmental policies, including lockout/tagout procedures and safe work practices
Complete required documentation and participate in daily safety meetings, hazard assessments

Main Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certification or Red Seal
- Working at heights is needed
- Experience working as an Electrician in industrial, mining, construction, or heavy commercial environments
- Previous experience performing electrical demolition, decommissioning, renovations, or shutdown work is strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret basic electrical drawings, plans, and specifications
- Strong commitment to health and safety, with the ability to identify hazards and follow site-specific safe work procedures
- Experience working in remote or camp-based environments is considered an asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, working at heights, and standing for extended periods
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
