Overview
We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented craftsmen to join our Custom Millwork Shop specializing in stair moldings and woodworking projects. This role involves creating high-quality custom wood components, working with various materials, and contributing to the craftsmanship of residential and commercial projects. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and manufacturing processes, with an eye for precision and quality. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require technical expertise and creative problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to produce custom stair moldings and woodwork components.
- Operate CNC machinery, power tools, hand tools, and other equipment safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and assemble wood products.
- Measure, cut, sand, finish, and assemble wood parts according to specifications.
- Assist with installation of stair treads and other woodworking elements on-site or in the shop.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Follow safety protocols related to heavy lifting, rebar installation, electrical wiring (if applicable), plumbing (if applicable), roofing, siding, caulking, flooring installation, tile laying, masonry, concrete forming, and other construction-related tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, woodworking, or millwork manufacturing.
- Ability to read shop drawings and follow work order processes.
- Familiarity with wood working machinery, power tools, hand tools, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Strong understanding of project planning is advantageous.
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physical tasks associated with construction environments.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
