Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista / Customer Service Associate to join our team. This role is vital in creating a welcoming environment for our customers while ensuring high-quality food and beverage service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience as a barista or in food service is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cash handling, and customer engagement.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items following established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit
- Take customer orders accurately, process payments, and handle cash or card transactions efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
- Ensure food safety standards are upheld during food handling and serving processes
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling food items and maintaining inventory levels
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers quickly while maintaining quality standards
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation
Requirements
- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends or holidays if needed

Pay: $17.50-$19.50 per hour
