Scotia Investments Limited, located in Bedford, NS, is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Analyst to join our Shared Services team.

What You’ll Do:
Reporting to our Manager of IT Infrastructure & Operations, this vital role will work directly with internal customers across our Family of Companies, ensuring they feel supported, not just serviced, bringing patience, clear communication, and a solutions-first mindset to every interaction. The successful candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills. In our Shared Service environment, you will be effective working both independently and collaboratively as the central point of contact for all incoming requests to our Service Desk.
- Assure timely resolution of incidents and service requests that are reported to the Service Desk
- Log and categorize all technical and application related calls
- Research and resolve technical incidents, responding to all inbound client communications, including: alerts, emails, phone calls and in-person communication, within a set timeframe
- Support business applications
- Support client computing hardware (desktops, laptops, phones, printers, tablets, Smartphones, etc.)
- Support Scotia Investments’ corporate application suite and future applications
- Escalate or re-assign complex or unresolved incidents, act as representative of the customer within the IT group or business systems group
- Provide guidance, assistance, and training for customers and internal staff related to technical and application areas
- Stay informed of changes to IT systems/applications and in the industry as a whole to provide informed and timely support and guidance to the Family of Companies
- Participation in the implementation of future applications and initiatives
- Perform other IT service responsibilities as required
What You’ll Bring:
- Diploma or degree in an IT related field
- Experience providing excellent front line technical and/or application support
- Microsoft, Fortinet, Cisco, Citrix, Azure certifications are preferred
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Cloud Technologies, Cyber Security, telephones, and other client applications is required
- Knowledge that would be an asset includes: Active Directory and user account administration/security; Networking and Communications; iPhones, iPads, telephones; Virtualization Technologies, Database Platforms; Desktop and Laptop Hardware Support; Microsoft Desktop Operating System Support (Windows 11); Microsoft Server Operating System Support (Windows Server 2016 and later); ITIL Foundations certified
- You handle competing priorities calmly and keep people informed when timelines shift. No one is left wondering where things stand
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- A valid driver’s license and vehicle to travel to other Scotia Investments Family of Companies locations
- Occasional evening/weekend work will be required
- Ability to physically lift or move personal computing equipment including but not limited to Monitors, Laptops, PC’s, Printers etc. to deliver personal computing equipment to our clients
