About us — Kamloops Urology is a new urology practice led by Dr. Padraic O'Malley, a fellowship-trained urologic surgeon providing specialist surgical and cancer care across the Thompson-Okanagan. We work from an established surgical office and partner closely with Royal Inland Hospital.
The role — We're looking for an organized, personable Medical Office Assistant to be the front line of the practice — the first point of contact for patients and referring offices, and the person who keeps the clinic running smoothly.
What you'll do — greet and check in patients; manage a busy phone and email inbox; book and coordinate appointments, procedures and surgical scheduling; run the EMR (Plexia) for records, referrals, results and correspondence; process referrals and prepare charts; support MSP billing; keep the office organized and welcoming.
What we're looking for — MOA certificate/diploma or equivalent medical-office experience; comfort with EMR systems (Plexia an asset — we'll train); MSP billing/referral familiarity (an asset); excellent communication and a warm, professional manner; strong organization and accuracy; discretion with patient confidentiality; reliable, self-directed team player.
