Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer responsible for managing the procurement and sourcing process to ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of goods while maintaining high quality standards. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with suppliers and internal teams to support day-to-day operations, optimize inventory levels, and contribute to overall supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and identify new suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability
- Evaluate supplier capabilities and negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times
- Develop and execute long-term purchasing plans considering extended lead times (up to 5 months)
- Forecast demand and align procurement schedules to ensure product availability and avoid stockouts
- Create, review, and manage purchase orders based on demand planning and inventory levels
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers
- Coordinate effectively with internal teams (logistics, warehouse, finance) and external stakeholders (suppliers, freight forwarders)
- Monitor shipments and proactively follow up to ensure on-time delivery
- Resolve issues related to delays, damages, or discrepancies in orders
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance
- Analyze purchasing and sourcing data to support forecasting and cost optimization
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of purchasing experience in a production environment
- Strong sourcing, negotiation, and communication skills
- Analytical mindset with strong data interpretation abilities
- Stakeholder coordination and cross-functional collaboration
- Long-term planning and demand forecasting abilities
- Supplier evaluation and relationship management
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Time management and ability to handle multiple priorities
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of supply chain, sourcing, and procurement processes
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
