We are a small boutique and are seeking a personable and professional Sales Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with high-end clientele, showcase premium products, and deliver exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for retail sales, and an interest in luxury merchandise. As a representative of our brand, you will help create an inviting shopping environment while supporting sales goals and enhancing the customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Demonstrate products through engaging product knowledge
- Assist customers with selecting merchandise that meets their preferences and needs
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments
- Upsell products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a customer-first approach
- Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure attractive product displays
- Keep the sales floor organized, clean, and well-stocked
- Provide excellent customer service via phone and in-person inquiries
- Support inventory management and assist with stock replenishment as needed
- Uphold brand standards in appearance, communication, and professionalism at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Knowledge of merchandising, POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Shopify knowledge an asset
- Fluent in Excel or Google Sheets
- Social Media literate
- Professional phone etiquette and customer service orientation are essential
- Flexibility to work part-time hours with availability during peak shopping times
- MUST BE AVAILABLE ON SUNDAYS AND MONDAYS
