Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide essential support to patients in various healthcare settings, including nursing homes, hospice care, and home care. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with patient care and ensure their comfort and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse or healthcare professional
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers of patients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding patients as needed
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or senior care is preferred
- Familiarity with nursing home or hospice care is a plus
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is beneficial
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients in various healthcare settings
