Duties & Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct thorough inspections and execute preventative maintenance on various trailer types.
- Diagnose and expertly repair electrical systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Handle landing gear assemblies, trailer frames, and bodies with precision and efficiency.
- Manage hitching/coupling systems, suspension systems, and braking systems.
- Conduct annual safety inspections adhering to industry standards.
- Undertake general vehicle repairs on electrical and/or mechanical systems.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to optimize workshop processes.
- Foster a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Experience & Licenses/Certifications:
- At least 5 years experience as a Trailer Mechanic.
- 310J Trailer Technician Certification is required.
Qualities, Skills & Abilities:
· Proven expertise as a licensed 310J Trailer Technician.
· Welding and fabrication skills (an added advantage).
· Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
· Team player with a collaborative spirit.
· Physical fitness for tasks involving lifting, bending, and reaching.

Requirements
- Possession of a 310J or 310T license
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in heavy equipment maintenance
- Ability to operate cranes and interpret schematics
- Customer service-oriented with good communication skills
- Experience working in a dealership setting is a plus
