Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and process payments using Micros POS or similar point-of-sale systems.
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and presentation meet company guidelines.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, adhering to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and efficient food preparation.
- Assist with kitchen duties such as assembling orders, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience or restaurant background is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS or similar technology for processing transactions.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing inventory counts.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen work is a plus; willingness to learn new skills is essential.
