Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hearing Aid Practitioner / Audiologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive hearing assessments, fitting and programming hearing aids, and providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of audiological principles, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in medical terminology. Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed hearing evaluations and diagnostic tests to assess patients' hearing abilities
- Fit, program, and adjust hearing aids to meet individual patient needs
- Educate patients on the proper use, maintenance, and care of hearing devices
- Provide counseling and support to help patients adapt to new hearing solutions
- Ability to make appropriate recommendations for hearing aid candidates
- Maintain accurate patient records and document all procedures performed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Stay current with advancements in audiology technology and best practices
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations related to audiological care
- Perform hearing aid follow-up appointments, adjustments, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Communicate with family physicians, ENT specialists, and other healthcare providers as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Audiology or related field; Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) ACSLPA
- Hearing Aid Practitioner program and be registered with the College of Hearing Aid Practitioners of Alberta. Registered and in good standing with CHAPA
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate approach toward patients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build long-term patient relationships

- Self-discipline, initiative, and solid time‑management
- Attention to detail and a proactive, customer‑focused approach
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple patient cases effectively

Pay: $70,000.00-$109,709.15 per year
