D.T Roofing Ltd. is hiring Labourers / Apprentice Roofers to join our roofing crews in Brandon and the Westman area.
No roofing experience is required. We are looking for someone enthusiastic, energetic, and ready to work. If you show up on time, bring a good attitude, work hard, and are willing to learn, we can teach you the rest.
Roofing is hard. Very hard. You will be outside, lifting materials, climbing ladders, stripping roofs, cleaning up debris, setting up tools, protecting customer property, and working full days in the heat, wind, and cold.
But hard work does not have to feel like a burden.
With a good crew, roofing can be one of the most fun jobs you will ever have. You are outside, working with a group of good guys, learning a real trade, and seeing the results of your work at the end of every day. We want people who bring energy to the crew, keep a positive attitude, ask questions, hustle, and enjoy getting better.
This position works as part of a shingle crew and reports to the Site Supervisor, Crew Lead, and Project Manager. You will work alongside experienced roofers and other crew members to help keep jobs safe, organized, clean, and moving.
Responsibilities
- Show up on time and ready to work
- Maintain a positive attitude throughout the day
- Work safely and follow company safety rules
- Help protect customer property before work starts
- Set up and clean up tools and equipment
- Help strip shingles and prepare roof decks
- Load, unload, lift, and move roofing materials
- Keep the ground, roof, vehicles, and work areas clean and organized
- Use basic hand tools safely
- Ask questions and learn the trade
- Follow direction from the Site Supervisor, Crew Lead, and Project Manager
- Jump on the next task without needing to be chased
- Work hard and keep a steady pace through the full day
Qualifications
- No roofing experience required
- Must be energetic, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
- Must be reliable and on time
- Must be able to do hard physical labour
- Must be comfortable working outdoors and at heights
- Must be able to work well with a crew
- Must be able to follow instructions
- Must have a good attitude, even when the work is hard
- Valid driver’s licence is an asset
- Construction, roofing, siding, or labour experience is an asset, but not required
