JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for keeping sewing machines and equipment in good working condition across all Stitch It stores. This role performs regular maintenance, identifies issues, and repairs equipment to reduce downtime and support store operations. The Technician works closely with store teams to ensure machines are safe, reliable, and ready for daily use. This role supports the efficient operation of our stores.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspect, maintain, and repair sewing machines and related equipment.
Perform regular preventive maintenance to keep machines running properly.
Troubleshoot machine issues and complete repairs in a timely manner.
Visit store locations as needed to assess, maintain, and repair equipment.
Replace worn or damaged parts.
Keep maintenance and repair records up to date.
Coordinate with vendors when specialized repairs or parts are required.
Support the setup and installation of new sewing machines and equipment.
Identify equipment that may need replacement or major repairs.
Follow all company safety procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Basic computer skills for reporting and record keeping.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to store locations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to perform physical tasks and handle moderate loads.
Experience repairing and maintaining sewing machines.
