Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Electrical Foreman to join our team performing civil electrical installations for projects throughout the East Kootenay Region. This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a hands-on leader who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and mentoring apprentices.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Site Management
- Coordinate with utility locate contractors, inspectors, and line crews.
- Schedule and supervise subcontractors including hydrovac, heavy equipment, stone slingers, cranes, concrete trucks, line trucks, and dump trucks.
- Set up and maintain site fencing, job boards, signage, and traffic delineation.
- Conduct site orientations and complete required safety documentation.
- Monitor project progress and maintain detailed photo documentation.
Civil & Electrical Installation
- Perform material takeoffs and maintain inventory in the work truck.
- Saw cut and remove asphalt and concrete.
- Core holes in service boxes and vaults using coring equipment.
- Install underground conduits, grounding systems, transformer pads, service boxes, and vaults.
- Install concrete pilasters, guards, bollards, and related civil infrastructure.
- Repair, replace, install, and bond pre-cast and cast-in-place bollards.
- Compact trenches and excavations during and after backfilling operations.
- Perform minor landscaping and site restoration as required.
Leadership & Safety
- Train and mentor electrical apprentices.
- Ensure all work is completed to customer standards and specifications.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture on every job site.
- Work effectively in all weather conditions while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
Equipment Operation
- Operate 1-ton trucks and trailers.
- Operate coring drills, concrete/asphalt saws, tampers, jumping jacks, forklifts, and various power tools.
- Perform basic small-engine maintenance (considered an asset).
Qualifications
Required
- Red Seal Journeyman Electrician Certification.
- Occupational First Aid Level 1.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience leading crews and coordinating subcontractors.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
Assets

Pay: $36.00-$50.00 per hour
