About Us
ONSITE3D is a Calgary-based Virtual Design and Construction company supporting industrial and energy projects through engineering, design, laser scanning, and field-integrated project delivery. Our work focuses on accurate field data, constructability, and fabrication-ready design.
Position Summary
We are hiring a Senior Designer to support upcoming projects and growth opportunities. This role is responsible for leading piping and mechanical design work, developing accurate 3D models and drawing packages, and ensuring deliverables reflect real field conditions.
This position is best suited for someone with strong brownfield, as-built, and field verification experience who can work independently and produce high-quality design packages with minimal rework.
You will work on laser scan-integrated brownfield retrofit projects and field-to-fabrication workflows for industrial and energy-sector clients, supporting projects where accuracy, constructability, and field awareness are critical.
You will work within a collaborative design team and report to the Design Manager while supporting project execution across engineering, field, and client stakeholders.

Why ONSITE3D
At ONSITE3D, designers work at the intersection of scan data and engineering, meaning your drawings are grounded in reality from day one rather than built on assumptions. The company operates across the full project lifecycle, from point cloud capture, detailed engineering, and isometric extraction through to fabrication and virtual assembly, so a designer here touches work that actually gets built, on active SAGD facilities, refineries, FPSOs, and mine sites across Canada and the US Gulf Coast. As a CCIB-certified Indigenous-owned company growing into new sectors and geographies, there is real room to shape how the design function matures alongside the business.
