PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Sous Chef or Line Cook is responsible for leading, motivating and developing the culinary team by executing the highest standard of culinary excellence. They oversee all food preparation for the restaurant. The Sous Chef is also accountable for ensuring maximum productivity and cost-effectiveness through food and labour costing initiatives. You’ll bring professional, enthusiastic ownership to the menu each day; and contribute in setting Eli + Trix / Betty's apart while assisting the FOH team to create a rave worthy guest experience!
QUALIFICATIONS: Sous Chef or Line Cook experience with post-secondary education in Culinary Arts Management or similar experience. Food Handler Safety Certification.
SKILLS: Strong business acumen. Efficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel, Google and POS systems. Self-starter, flexible and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Must possess good verbal and written communication skills. Strong leadership skills. Time management skills. Human resources management skills such as: recruitment, selection, training, performance management.
