JK Environmental Services has immediate openings for experienced Asbestos Abatement Technicians.

Responsibilities:
- Removes asbestos from ceilings, walls, beams, boilers, and other structures, following hazardous waste handling guidelines.
- Assembles scaffolding and seals off work area, using plastic sheeting and duct tape.
- Position portable air filtration system inside work area.
- Disposes of asbestos following guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid OH&S Asbestos Removal Certification
- High school diploma or GED
- Must pass security background check
- Experience in the asbestos removal industry
- Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting
- Able to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- Attention to detail in all areas of work
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Basic mathematical skills
- Working knowledge of Asbestos Removal procedures
