At La Brezza Ristorante, a family-owned Italian restaurant with over 40 years of history, we are looking for a motivated and disciplined individual to join our kitchen with a clear goal: to become our next Sous Chef.
This is not a standard line cook position. This is a structured, hands-on development program designed to take someone with foundational kitchen experience and train them into a leadership role within one year.
We are looking for someone who is coachable, detail-oriented, and committed to mastering the craft of cooking and kitchen operations at a high level.
What You’ll Do:
- Learn and execute all kitchen stations (prep, line, service)
- Maintain strict cleanliness and organization standards
- Follow systems, recipes, and instructions with precision
- Assist in inventory, ordering, and kitchen organization
- Lead the service during high-pressure dinner shifts
- Develop leadership skills and assist in managing the kitchen team
What We’re Looking For:
- Some kitchen experience required (you must understand basic knife skills and kitchen flow)
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn quickly
- Ability to take direction and execute without deviation
- Positive attitude and professionalism under pressure
- Interest in long-term growth into a leadership role
Compensation & Growth:
- Starting wage: $18/hour
- Structured wage increases based on skill progression and performance
- Clear path to Sous Chef within 12 months
- Performance-based bonuses throughout the program
