We currently have an opening for an experienced landscape crew lead who can direct a team and manage sites effectively. You must have a keen eye for detail, be proactive, and have great communication skills (which means be nice but also be able to be the boss). Must be able to train new employees and demonstrate expectations.

Qualifications:
*Must be able to lead by example; have a great attitude and be reliable
*Must have a high standard and be able to hold your crew to the same standard
*Landscape Supervisor experience
*Minimum 2 years landscape experience in maintenance and installation
*BC IPM Pesticide Applicator Certificate (or be willing to complete the sponsored course)
*Level 1 first Aid (or be willing to complete the sponsored course)
*Well rounded Plant ID knowledge
*Experience in hardscaping is an asset but not required
*Great interpersonal skills (know how to speak to people so that they hear and understand you)
*Valid full Class 5 drivers license is required
*Available to work full time (Monday to Friday 7:30-4:00).
Role and Responsibilities
*Must be able to use the following equipment:
-mowers
- trimmers
- hedge shears
- blowers.
- blade edgers.
- hand tools (rakes, cultivators, shovels, hand edgers, loppers, hand shears, pole pruners)
*Help with installs; plantings, soil, rock, mulch and general landscape upgrades
*Must be good with people and able to lead a team. You would be responsible for meeting the crew onsite (or picking them up from a skytrain station)
*Plan and organize daily crew tasks
*Communicate with Operations regarding site and employee progress
*Responsible for taking care of all equipment and minor equipment maintenance
