Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. This role is vital in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment that supports the overall operations of our organization. The Maintenance Person will perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of facilitie to identify issues before they escalate
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, caulking, grass cutting, wood repairs, deck repairs, minor construction, cleaning up garbage, and maintaining our pool and docks
- Repair or replace faulty parts, fixtures, or systems in a timely manner
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
- Assist with setup and installation of new equipment or infrastructure upgrades
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance activities
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize operational disruptions
Skills
- Proven experience in general maintenance, repair, or a related field
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently
- Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, and basic carpentry is preferred
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety protocols
- Good communication skills for documenting work performed and coordinating with team members
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
