We are a fast paced and fulfilling company that is seeking a detail orientated and experienced Site QA/QC Coordinator to join our Team
The Role
Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, the QA/QC Coordinator is responsible for managing and ensuring the quality of work performed. They manage activities, either directly or indirectly, to ensure compliance with specified requirements, including tolerances, dimensions, material selection, and overall quality as outlined in Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s)
This position is working on site at one of our projects located in Northern Saskatchewan. Employees will fly to the site from Saskatoon and work a shift pattern of 2 weeks on then 2 weeks off.
Summary of the duties
· Reviews, amends and approves all ITP’s provided
· Responsible for reviewing the project specific quality plan (PSQP) at the start of construction to verify compliance with project and regulatory code quality requirements
· Monitors the quality control program throughout construction and reports deficiencies
· Ensures all examinations required by the PSQP and ITP are completed and properly signed off
· Verifies through daily inspections and review of test results that proper record keeping has been implemented
· Raises construction related non-conformances
· Coordinates the field surveyors to assess quantities for progress reporting
· Ensures construction re-work and non-conformances are tracked and reported
· Participates in construction meetings and verifies that red-line drawings align with field conditions and RFI updates
· Coordinates construction turnovers
Required
· Trade experience, certification, diploma or degree in construction management, engineering or related field is preferred
· CWB, CQI or similar would be considered an asset
· 2-5 years of previous quality control experience
· Strong technical proficiency in Quality related field – related legislation, auditing and data analysis
· Analytical skills and strong problem-solving skills
