Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse worker to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient organization and replenishment of stock across our retail location. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to maintaining a clean and safe environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop versatile wholesale experience, and maintenance tasks, in a dynamic work environment with an open schedule.
Responsibilities
- Safely unload incoming shipments, freight using mechanical equipment.
- Building orders for wholesale in a systematic manner as per company's standards.
- Verify deliveries match purchase orders and inspect goods for damage or defects.
- Retrieve requested products from warehouse shelves based on system orders.
- Securely wrap, box and label items to prevent damage during transit.
- Safely operate material-handling machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks.
- Operate forklifts safely to move heavy or bulky items within the warehouse or store areas.
- Physically fit to lift heavy weights (approx. 50lbs) and work for 8 hours while standing.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock counts and product labeling.
- Maintain cleanliness of storage and sales areas, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Ensure proper organization of coolers for easy access and inventory accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales or stockroom operations is preferred but not required
- Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is advantageous; training will be provided if necessary
