Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Busser/Food Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food delivery, and supporting the overall service flow. Ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and experience in food service environments. Duties
- Clear and reset tables promptly to maintain a clean and inviting dining area
- Deliver food from the kitchen to tables efficiently while ensuring accuracy and presentation standards
- Assist servers with guest needs, including refilling beverages and addressing special requests
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and organizing utensils and condiments
- Support food preparation tasks as needed, including basic meal assembly or garnishing
- Handle food safely according to established food safety protocols
- Use POS systems for order accuracy and guest transactions when necessary
- Ensure proper food handling and hygiene practices are followed at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth service flow
- Uphold guest services standards by providing friendly, attentive, and professional interactions
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or cashiering is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations, meal preparation, or barista experience is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately if required
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- A positive attitude with excellent guest service skills and teamwork orientation
