AU Living Building Construction Ltd. is a growing construction company operating across PEI, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and British Columbia. We specialize in drywall, steel stud framing, wood framing, insulation, vapour barrier, taping, painting, T-bar ceilings, and commercial / residential construction services.
We are currently hiring experienced Wood Framing Carpenters, Leading Hands, and Site Foremen for our ongoing projects in PEI.
We are looking for reliable, experienced, and responsible individuals who can work full-time, follow site instructions, and deliver quality workmanship. For Leading Hand / Site Foreman positions, the candidate must be able to lead crews, organize daily site work, and communicate with management.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform wood framing work for residential and commercial projects
- Read and understand construction drawings and framing layouts
- Measure, cut, layout, and install framing materials accurately
- Install walls, floors, ceilings, backing, blocking, and related framing components
- Coordinate daily work with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades
- Lead and supervise framing crews if applying for Leading Hand or Site Foreman position
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards
- Keep the job site clean, organized, and safe
- Report daily progress, material needs, and manpower requirements to management
- Follow company policies, site safety rules, and project schedules
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of wood framing experience
- Must have experience in residential or commercial framing
- Must have basic framing tools
- Must have own transportation
- Ability to read drawings is preferred
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work full-time
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Leading Hand / Site Foreman applicants must have experience leading crews
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Safety-minded and quality-focused

Pay: $26.50-$45.52 per hour
