Job description:
At Richmond Packaging we provide a wide range of plain or printed bags. With the fast expansion of our office and manufacturing plant we are able to offer an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Printing Press Helper to join our dynamic operations team. This is a full-time, permanent position located in our manufacturing plant in Burnaby, BC.
The Printing Press Helper has the general responsibility of ensuring that the printed film meets and exceeds our customers expectation.
General Responsibilities:
- Pick printing plates from the plate library and assist in the mounting process.
- Help in setting up jobs and monitoring the press.
- Check for print quality.
- Maintain accurate production records.
- Read and understand spec sheet.
- Some understanding of graphics and colors would be an asset
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing, extruding, printing, warehouse, industrial or construction.
- High School diploma and good English skills required.
- Strong communication, and problem solving skills to operate and troubleshoot various mechanical issues.
- Physically fit and able to lift 50lbs.
- First aid qualification, safety training, and forklift license are considered assets.
- Ability to do shift work, weekends and some overtime if required.

Pay: $21.00 per hour
