Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing and leveling land for construction projects
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, and excavators safely and efficiently
- Perform paving tasks using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure quality surfaces
- Support skilled tradespeople with various construction activities as needed
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
- Load and unload materials and supplies required for construction projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work site to promote safety and efficiency
Qualifications
- Prior experience with heavy equipment operation is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of paving and general construction practices is advantageous
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to safety procedures and regulations
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Valid driver’s license is beneficial but not mandatory; reliable transportation is necessary for job site access
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different construction environments
