Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pet Groomer to join our team and provide exceptional grooming services for a variety of pets. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting. Responsibilities
- Bathing, drying, and brushing pets to prepare them for grooming
- Trimming fur, nails, and performing breed-specific cuts according to client requests
- Cleaning and sanitizing grooming tools and work area regularly
- Monitoring pets’ behavior to ensure safety during grooming procedures
- Communicating effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences and special needs
- Managing appointment schedules and maintaining accurate records of services provided
- Handling heavy lifting of pets and equipment safely and efficiently
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns professionally
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners
- Experience in pet grooming or related animal care fields is preferred but not required; training can be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to handle pets gently yet confidently, ensuring their comfort and safety during grooming sessions
- Physical strength and stamina to perform heavy lifting of pets and equipment as needed
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality grooming standards are met consistently
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a caring attitude toward animals
- Flexibility to accommodate scheduling needs, including weekends or early evenings if required
