Position:
Part-time Registered Practical Nurse
Purpose:
To assume responsibility for assigned residents contributing to a sense of wellbeing for all residents via a combination of skilled tasks and personal relationship.
Reporting to:
Chief Wellness Officer
Qualifications:
· Registered Practical Nurse Diploma from an accredited school of nursing
· In good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Responsibilities:
· Assists residents with activities of daily living.
· Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.
· Promotes resident independence.
· Identifies priorities for resident care needs and the team.
· Identifies and manages changes in resident condition.
· Contributes to resident care plans.
· Uses best practice policy to guide care.
· Part-time hours: 30 hours biweekly, availability for every other weekend
· Schedule: Day shift (7am-3pm)
A requirement for all individuals who work at The Meadows of Aurora and support our 55+ community include:
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination is required.
- A two-step TB test that can be arranged through your family doctor or many pharmacies.
- A Vulnerable Sector Check that can be obtained through designated Police locations.
