IS2 Workforce Solutions is currently recruiting a Journeyman Electrician for a food production facility in SE Calgary. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems, controls, and automation equipment within a high-volume manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented trades professional with strong diagnostic and PLC troubleshooting skills.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting critical electrical systems, playing a key role in uptime, safety, and performance across a busy food manufacturing environment.

Schedule: 8 Hour Shifts | 7 day a week operation
Shifts: Days, Evenings, Overnights with Overtime available
Shift Start Times: 5AM; 3PM and 10PM
Working Conditions:
- Cold Storage Food Facility (4’C)
- Continuously standing and/ or walking.
- Frequent exposure to factors such as temperature variations or extremes, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, and toxic materials that cause periods of extreme discomfort and/or a moderate risk of illness.
What You’ll Do:
- Accountable to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot and repair all electrical systems within the plant and the installation of all new equipment.
- Repair and diagnose mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems
- Perform equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Accountable to adhere to and utilize Company policies and procedures and HACCP regulations.
- Work closely with supervision teams to meet deadlines and ensure work is completed. efficiently and to specification.
- Accountable to ensure a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and visitors.
- Follow all company, client, and site-specific safety policies and procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
- Journeyman Electrician certification.
- 2+ years proven experience as a journeyman electrician in food, construction, production or manufacturing environments.
- Experience in food production, packaging, or FMCG environments
- Understanding of CFIA / HACCP standards and sanitary design principles
- Ability to work in cold, wet, or temperature-controlled environments
- Familiarity with high-speed production lines and automated systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to use power and manual tools
