We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for general repairs, preventative maintenance, and ensuring our motel rooms and apartment units are well maintained and guest-ready across multiple properties.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain fireplaces, air conditioning units, jetted tubs, appliances, and plumbing fixtures
- Perform general maintenance and troubleshooting in motel rooms and apartment suites
- Handle basic electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, and carpentry repairs
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Complete preventative maintenance inspections
- Assist with renovations, installations, and overall property upkeep
- Travel between multiple properties in Leduc, Ponoka, Wetaskiwin, and Whitecourt
- Maintain clean and organized maintenance areas, tools, and company vehicle
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required
- Clean driving abstract required
- Comfortable driving regularly between different property locations
- Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general building maintenance is an asset
- Ability to diagnose and solve maintenance issues independently
- Reliable, organized, and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical work as required
- Weekend work and occasional after-hours emergency calls may be required
Position Details
- Full-time position
- 40 hours per week
- Starting at $21/hour, based on experience
- Company van provided for work-related travel
