Responsibilities
- Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits
- Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies
- Evaluate daily operations
- Monitor staff performance
- Plan and organize daily operations
- Recruit staff
- Set staff work schedules
- Supervise staff
- Train staff
- Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
- Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
- Conduct performance reviews
- Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
- Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
- Participate in marketing plans and implementation
- Leading/instructing individuals
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Provide customer service
- Manage events
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality management roles with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within quick service or fast food environments preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Demonstrated skills in inventory control, food safety practices, and food handling procedures.
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience in staff training, team management, interviewing, and development of personnel.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes along with experience managing costs related to food production and labor.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences across casual or fine dining contexts.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and operational excellence.
