Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team and assist with a variety of outdoor projects. This role involves performing landscape maintenance, and gardening tasks to ensure the aesthetic and functional quality of our clients' outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and landscape work, along with mechanical aptitude and experience working with various tools and equipment. Our shop isn’t accessible by public transportation and having your own form of transportation to and from the shop is a must.
Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance including, trimming using a gas powered machine.
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, digging, pruning, and other landscaping tasks.
- Maintain equipment including cleaning, basic repairs, and routine inspections
- Support irrigation system installation and troubleshooting
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities to maintain a safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards
Experience
- Prior experience with landscaping, gardening, or horticulture is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating machinery like excavators and irrigation systems is a plus
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices and construction techniques is desirable
- Experience using hand tools and power tools in outdoor or construction settings is beneficial
- Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures for equipment and machinery is advantageous
- Previous work involving outdoor physical labor or construction projects will be considered an asset
