Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and familiarity with dental office operations to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive patient experience.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a welcoming environment at the front desk
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and confirm patient visits
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems such as Dentrix and Epic
- Verify patient insurance information and process billing using dental management software
- MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF DENTAL BILLING AND PROCEEDURES.
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting payments and updating patient information
- Coordinate appointment scheduling to optimize office workflow
- Handle administrative responsibilities such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Support the dental team with clerical tasks as needed to ensure efficient practice operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental office setting preferred
- Proficiency with dental management software such as Cleardent and similar is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dental terminology and electronic medical records systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing schedules and records
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience working with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
- Office or administrative experience in a healthcare environment is advantageous
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor to provide outstanding patient service
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
